Chad leads the multidisciplinary Pain Service based at Overdale Hospital. He spends 100% of his time with pain work having given up general anaesthetic practice in 2012 to lead the Pain team. He has an interest in investigating and diagnosing all pain conditions.
Due to the nature of pain a lot of his work is spinal or spinal driven pain. This includes back and neck pain, sciatica and widespread pain. Chad performs interventional procedures to treat pain such as epidurals for sciatica and facet joint denervation for back pain. The procedures are mainly done at Jersey General Hospital although he consults at The Lido Medical Centre also. He also advises on the use of medication for pain.
Chad came to Jersey with his family in 2003 having originally been appointed as a Consultant in Blackburn, Lancashire. He is happy to take self-referrals or referrals from other health care specialists and is a recognised provider by all major medical insurance companies. He is Chairman of Pain Support Jersey and Treasurer of Jersey Medical Society.
